Please Read The Following Carefully:
Protect yourself from the Elements
- Wear a long-sleeve shirt (a collared shirt is recommended to protect your neck), hat, sunglasses, and long pants. Choose fabrics that will dry quickly as you will likely get wet at some point. Cotton such as denim and t-shirts are possibly the worst thing you can wear as they will not dry when wet.
- Wear plenty of SPF 50+ sunscreen and bug repellent.
Bring Boots and Waders If You Have Them
- Remember to bring your own waders and wading boots. If you are a first-timer and do not have any, please contact me prior to your trip. A wading staff is highly recommended.
Bring a Change of Clothes
- Getting wet is a common occurrence even for the most seasoned anglers.
Notify Me of Dietary Restrictions
- A riverside lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, inform me ahead of time so I can plan appropriately
Feel Free to Bring Other Beverages
- While I will provide bottled water during the day, you may want to bring your own beverage of choice if that is your wish.
Be On Time
- Show up to the designated meeting spot on time to maximize your day on the water.
Clearly Express Your Expectations on the River
- Some clients are very independent and want to do most things on their own. As an example, some HATE the guide tying flies on their tippet. They prefer to be shown where to fish and want to guide to be mostly out the way. Meanwhile, other clients want the full-service experience and want the guide to teach them throughout the day, communicating constantly. Let me know if I am being too involved or not involved enough. My job is to help you have a great day on the river.
Be Ready to Work Hard and Have Fun!
- We will cover a lot of water. If you are willing to put in a hard day’s work and open to instruction, you will become a better angler.
Full Payment Required Day of Trip
- The balance of the payment is expected either beginning or end of the day. A tip is encouraged but not required.
